I practice and teach a yoga breathing meditation that I learned from renowned healer and author David Elliott. I am certified in the four levels of his healer training series and I have practiced this technique for over ten years.
I often work with people who want support with the grieving process and I am certified as a grief specialist by Our House Grief Support Center.
I offer regular breathing circles which are open to anyone. An hour and a half long, these groups are a combination of meditation and discussion designed to help you develop your own spiritual practice, whatever that may be. These sessions have different themes, but are always good for a boost in energy or to help you get back on track if you are feeling a little “off.”
A private session is an option for anyone who is curious about the work but reluctant to try a group, or for those who prefer individual attention.
“Drawing on Grief” is a two hour workshop specifically designed for working with grief creatively. We use the breathing meditation followed by some fun with charcoal drawing to make a space for our sadness to show itself. Grief has a very long shelf life and deserves our attention. If we choose to look at it carefully we can learn to let go of pain or anger and to appreciate our own depths without fear.
“Drawing Together” is a drawing workshop for adults and kids, that does not include breath work. It currently (spring 2013) meets on Thursday afternoons for an hour and a half in West Glover, Vt.
